Before completing your booking please read the Mercia Charters Limited "Conditions of Booking" specific to the train(s) you wish to book on. Receipt of a booking will be taken by Mercia Charters Limited as an indication of your acceptance of the "Conditions of Booking" specific to the train(s) you are booking tickets for.

At the present time bookings for our tours can only be accepted by post. The address to which to send your booking is;

Conditions of Booking

Mainland Europe Tours :

All Mainland Europe tours advertised are covered by Mercia Charters "Standard Terms & Conditions for European Tours" and when a booking received it is taken that the sender has read and accepted those terms & conditions. If booking for more than one person then the person making the booking is responsible for ensuring all the members of his/her party are aware of the terms & conditions as they too will be considered to have read and accepted them. If you, or any of your party, do not agree with anything contained within the terms & conditions, then please contact Mercia Charters before making your booking.

UK Tours :

The fares shown are for the advertised train(s) only and DO NOT include any transport costs to or from the train(s) or any overnight accommodation before or after the date of running.

The requested route, traction, and any photo-stops listed are subject to final confirmation and availability on the day. Mercia Charters Limited reserve the right to alter and amend the specification of the advertised train(s) at any time, should the need arise.

Tickets and final details will be dispatched approximately 8 days prior to the date of travel.

We require a minimum number of bookings to ensure that each train will run but this should not be a problem. We will examine the position approximately one month before the scheduled running date of each train and should there be insufficient bookings then Mercia Charters Limited only liability will be the return all of the monies paid to us for the train.

Cancellations received 28 days prior to the tour day will be eligible to a full refund, less 10.00 admin fee, thereafter the following applies, 28-14 days 50% refund, 14 days to day of tour NO REFUND. If the train(s) is cancelled by Mercia Charters Limited the only liability will be the return of all monies paid to us for this train(s).

Every effort will be made to run the trains(s) as advertised. No liability will be accepted by Mercia Charters Limited, or any individual, for any arrangements for any part of the tour including, but not limited to, the substitution of any motive power or re-routing of the train(s). A passenger shall not have any claim against Mercia Charters Limited, o any individual if, by arriving late at any starting point or any point en-route, he or she misses any onward transport connections.
