The Resistance

BVS Sint Gillis :

8467 leads our train, 8509 is on the rear.

The station of the BVS is alongside the mainline. Unfortunately the DMU being out of mainline certification meant we had to start from here rather than Dendermonde SNCB station as originally planned.

BVS Baastrode Noord :

HQ for the BVS, we paused here for a few minutes on the outward leg.

BVS Puurs :

The end of this preserved line, a few metres from the SNCB line (immediately behind me).

BVS Puurs :

Can't expect to get much more track in the book!

BVS Puurs :

Looks like Denzil needs a few more inches to get the job done satisfactorily ;-)

BVS :

8509 leads on the way back.

BVS :

8467 brought up the rear, but the crew changed the lights for the photo-stop to suggest forward motion.

BVS Oppuurs :

8509 passing the disused station at Oppuurs
(note: spelt Oppuers on the station building).

BVS :

En-route back to Baastrode Noord, the crew in 8467 again swap the lights for the photo-stop.

BVS :

During this photo-stop someone complained the dead grass was obscuring the loco....

BVS :

....no problem, a couple of passengers quickly sort it out!

BVS Baastrode Noord :

8509 passes over the train to 8463.

BVS Sint Gillis :

Tour over!
